Lab Path
Exploit dev literacy path on $PWN_LAB — compile safe/unsafe toys, checksec, crash observe, CVE mindset, report with ethics gates.
Visual · t24_lab_path
Lab path = visual literacy chain on YOUR toys. Original Cyberlium.
Opening
Draw the path from intentional bug to verified fix — with stop signs at weaponization shortcuts.
Document literacy path: toy source → unsafe build repro crash → GDB observe → triage → checksec/protections → secure rebuild → CVE/history lesson → finding + remediation report → share-safe export. Ethics gates: weapon PoC, ROP, shellcode, pwntools exploit, stranger prod, public 0-day — refused paths labeled red. UTC milestones and artifact IDs per station. Mermaid or sketch chmod 600. Honest N/A if brief skipped sanitizer — no fiction. Defender breakpoint: where patch or canary shortened incident.
1. Path stations
Source, unsafe build, crash repro, GDB, triage, checksec, secure build, CVE read, report — nine minimum.
Each station links evidence index row and module lesson ID.

next (authorized): pwn.college modules — never aim at strangers/production
EOFCommand — copy this
grep -E 'done|next|never' "$LAB_PWN/notes/lab-path.txt" curl -sS https://pwn.college/ | head -5
Primary tools to practice this lesson: grep, curl. Reference sites: pwn.college (https://pwn.college/); docs.pwntools.com (https://docs.pwntools.com/en/stable/); LiveOverflow (https://www.youtube.com/c/LiveOverflow). Run every command in the box — install first, then the usage lines — only on YOUR lab / program scope.
2. Ethics overlay
Red stops at weapon PoC, shellcode, ROP, unauthorized remote attack, public exploit drop.
CTF awareness branch reads rules — does not require remote pwn.
3. Purple breakpoint
Mark where blue benefits: missing canary, unpatched CVE class, crash telemetry.
One paragraph detection uplift from YOUR $PWN_LAB path.
4. What you ship: lab path diagram
Literacy path with ethics gates + UTC milestones — chmod 600.
5. What you record before the next lesson
Lab path diagram path.
6. Wrong vs right: weaponized exploits vs memory-safety literacy
Worked failure — same MSF word, opposite target. Right never needs a café Wi-Fi or classmate laptop.
Wrong
Lab path includes weapon PoC shortcut lane.
Right
Lab path documented for $PWN_LAB toys. Next: Evidence Pack.
Mission: lab path diagram
1) Map nine stations. 2) Add five ethics gates. 3) UTC milestones per station. 4) Link evidence index IDs.
