1. Who we are
Cyberlium (https://cyberlium.com) is a free cybersecurity learning platform. This policy explains what information we collect when you use our website, Android app, related learning tools, labs, CTF challenges, and accounts.
2. Information we collect
- Account data: email address (Gmail), display name, and authentication identifiers when you sign up or sign in with Google.
- Learning progress: completed lessons, labs, CTF solves, XP, streak, and leaderboard-related stats tied to your account.
- Technical data: basic device / browser information, IP address (via hosting / security providers), and logs needed to keep the service reliable and secure.
- Advertising identifiers (mobile app): on Android we may process the advertising ID (AAID) through Google AdMob to show ads to free-tier users. Premium users are not shown ads.
- Local storage: some progress may be cached on your device for offline / free-tier reliability.
3. How we use information
- Provide lessons, labs, CTF challenges, and Terminal access.
- Save XP, progress, and leaderboard ranking.
- Secure accounts and prevent abuse.
- Improve curriculum quality and platform performance.
- Show advertisements in the free Android app (via Google AdMob) so we can keep core learning free.
- Respond to support requests you send us.
4. Third-party services
We use trusted providers to run Cyberlium, including Firebase / Google Cloud (authentication, data storage, and push notifications), Cloudflare (hosting and security), Google sign-in, and Google AdMob(ads in the free Android app). AdMob and related Google advertising services may collect device and advertising identifiers and usage data under Google's privacy policies to deliver and measure ads. We do not sell your personal information.

5. Cookies, ads & similar technologies
On the website we use cookies and similar storage for authentication sessions and essential site functionality. In the Android app, Google AdMob may use advertising identifiers, cookies, or local storage to serve and measure ads (including personalized ads where permitted by your device settings and applicable law). Where required (for example in the EEA/UK), we present Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) consent form before personalized ads are requested. You can reopen privacy choices from Profile → Ads privacy options when that control is required in your region. You can also limit ad personalization in your device settings (Android advertising ID / ads settings).
6. Data retention
We keep account and progress data while your account is active. You may delete your account in the app (Profile → Delete account) or by contacting us. Some security logs may be retained for a limited time for abuse prevention. Ad partners may retain advertising measurement data under their own policies.
7. Your choices
- Browse many lessons without creating an account.
- Update your profile details while signed in.
- Delete your account from the Android app Profile screen, or request access, correction, or deletion by emailing us.
- Opt out of personalized ads via your device advertising settings (AdMob ads may still show as non-personalized where required).
- Where Google UMP requires it, manage ad consent choices in the Android app under Profile → Ads privacy options.
8. Children's privacy
Cyberliumis intended for learners who can create an account under applicable laws (typically 13+ / with guardian consent where required). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The app is not directed to children and is not designed for Google Play's Designed for Families program.
9. Security
We use industry-standard protections (HTTPS, access controls, and provider security features). No online service is 100% secure; please keep your Google account protected.
