Cyberlium (https://cyberlium.com) is a free cybersecurity learning platform. This policy explains what information we collect when you use our website, related learning tools, labs, CTF challenges, and accounts.
2. Information we collect
- Account data: email address (Gmail), display name, and authentication identifiers when you sign up or sign in with Google.
- Learning progress: completed lessons, labs, CTF solves, XP, streak, and leaderboard-related stats tied to your account.
- Technical data: basic device / browser information, IP address (via hosting / security providers), and logs needed to keep the service reliable and secure.
- Local storage: some progress may be cached on your device for offline / free-tier reliability.
3. How we use information
- Provide lessons, labs, CTF challenges, and Terminal access.
- Save XP, progress, and leaderboard ranking.
- Secure accounts and prevent abuse.
- Improve curriculum quality and platform performance.
- Respond to support requests you send us.
4. Third-party services
We use trusted providers to run Cyberlium, including Firebase / Google Cloud (authentication and data storage), Cloudflare (hosting and security), and Google services for sign-in. Those providers process data under their own privacy terms. We do not sell your personal information.
5. Cookies
We use cookies and similar storage for authentication sessions and essential site functionality. We do not use advertising cookies to track you across other websites for marketing.
6. Data retention
We keep account and progress data while your account is active. You may request deletion of your account data by contacting us. Some security logs may be retained for a limited time for abuse prevention.
7. Your choices
- Browse many lessons without creating an account.
- Update your profile details while signed in.
- Request access, correction, or deletion of your personal data by emailing us.
8. Children's privacy
Cyberlium is intended for learners who can create an account under applicable laws (typically 13+ / with guardian consent where required). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
9. Security
We use industry-standard protections (HTTPS, access controls, and provider security features). No online service is 100% secure; please keep your Google account protected.
